Suntech S.A., a leader in advanced technologies for telecommunications, can successfully implement company's development strategy to expand on European market due to the presence on NewConnect. The company since its debut has been recognized on a wider scale and raised growing interest among companies from outside Poland.
According to the latest IPO Watch Europe report (first quarter of 2011) NewConnect market is one of the four Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) markets that is the first one in Europe when it comes to debuts number. High growth rate of the number of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on the WSE shows that Polish enterpreneurs have aspirations to create strong companies offering innovative products not only on the domestic market, but also on the demanding European markets.
An ideal example of this kind of company is Suntech S.A. Piotr Saczuk, its CEO, underlines - Our presence on NewConnect enabled us gaining the capital to consequently develop strategy of expansion on the European markets. Due to the neccessity of regular reporting Suntech S.A. became a fully transparent and reliable partner. As a result we keep on obtaining more and more inquiries concerning our offerring from foreign telco operators.
According to PricewaterhouseCoopers report during the first quarter of 2011 there appeared 38 companies on the NewConnect market that classifies it as a leader comparing to all other alternative platforms on the Old Continent. NewConnect's idea is based to a high extent on the concept of the British alternative market- AIM (Alternative Investment Market), European leader of the alternative trading system. PricewaterhouseCoopers reported that in the same period AIM had 9 debuts, what resulted in the second position in Europe, directly behind NewConnect.
"Foreign investors are beginning to see the potential and the dynamic rate of development of the Polish alternative market . Faster and transparent procedures and lower debut costs cause that companies from abroad are increasingly interested in entering NewConnect "- says Daniel Sienkiewicz from Marketing Communication Department at WSE.
WSE alternative trading system is a chance for young, innovative and dynamically developing companies operating in new technologies sector. Suntech S.A. is here an example. After many successfull deployments among leaders of Polish telco sector, the interest in the company on foreign markets highly increased.
